Das Experimentieren und das Spielen mit Farben sind aufregend und spannend. Das Prinzip von Ordnung und Chaos findet sich in vielen Arbeiten. Geplantes und Zufälliges begegnen sich ständig und die Verwendung unterschiedlichster Untergründe und Materialien sorgen für Überraschendes.

Let us be quiet for a second, listen to the gods sleeping.
They sleep through the daylight madness and the hidden obligations.
Gods yawns are loud enough to open canyons and generate stars.
Their dreams are made of sticky pollen, bees embroiding eternal paths.
There, the bedtime tales are made out of ancient ropes and each knot has its own story.
„Where the gods sleep“ is a selection of illustrated still shots of that world; where outlines are untidy as hair on a pillow, but also as sharp as a scalpel.
A place where the only sound is the buzz of the bees,
a place where the gods sleep but their mind is wide open.

Sausages, clouds, joggers, ostriches, windows, security cameras…
…and other unexpected encounters of common objects in the urban neighbourhood!
Coincidental contradictions proclaim the absurd in the ordinary, as they turn into ironic visual poems that hint at the friction between desire and functionality.
Würste, Wolken, Jogger, Straußvögel, Fenster, Überwachungskameras…
…und andere banale Begegnungen alltäglicher Objekte aus der urbanen Nachbarschaft!
Zufällige Widersprüche verkünden die Absurdität des Gewöhnlichen,
werden zu ironischen, visuellen Gedichten, die die Dissonanz von Verlangen und Funktionalität
andeuten.

Cookie boxes, candy cans, coffee jars, cigar cases. Found, stolen, bought and traded. Some of them have followed me all the way here from Venice, I found the others on the way. It takes a few tools and some magic to transform them into pinhole cameras.
With these rudimental yet magical tools I try to record a parallel, more intimate world: the world of desires.
The outcome is raw and unpredictable, subject to the wizardries of physics and chemistry… and to chance. It takes one minute -maybe two in low light- for people to entrust their wishes to a cookie box.
