Was ist ein Bild ? – Marco Stanke ́s Werkserie „Teile“ hintergeht nicht nur die Bilderfrage, sondern auch die Definitionen von Fläche und Objekt. In vielfältigsten Arbeiten reduziert er die Grundbausteine der Malerei (Holz, Stoff und Farbe), und überwindet dabei spielerisch die täglich erfahrbaren, scheinbar offensichtlichen Grenzen zwischen zweiter und dritter Dimension. Form und Inhalt, das „Was“ und das „Wo“ wird zur einheitlichen Beschwörung der Freude am Sehen.
Im Raum für drastische Maßnahmen feiert dieses neu kompilierte Werkkollektiv somit eine Grenzerweiterung vom allgemeinem Verständnis, was ein Bild ist.

What is a picture? – Marco Stanke’s series of works entitled ‘Teile’ (Parts) notonly deceives the question of images, but also the definitions of surface andobject. In a wide variety of works, he reduces the basic elements of painting(wood, fabric and colour), playfully overcoming the seemingly obvious boundaries between the second and third dimensions that we experience on a daily basis. Form and content, the ‘what’ and the ‘where’ become a unified evocation to the joy of seeing.
At Raum für drastische Massnahmen, this recompiled collective of works thus forms a borderline expansion of the general understanding of what a picture is.
