Dieses Jahr feiert attaque[e]r le visible 10-jähriges Jubiläum!
attaque[e]r le visible ist eine Plattform für kuratierte Filmvorführungen, Buchpräsentationen und Vorträge zu Experimentalfilm und Medienkunst. attaque[e]r le visible begann 2015 in La Mutinerie in Paris – einem einzigartigen, selbstverwalteten queeren Raum im Herzen einer ansonsten gentrifizierten Stadt. Seit mehreren Jahren sind wir im Raum für drastische Maßnahmen in Berlin aktiv. Wir glauben, dass kulturelle Veranstaltungen kein Luxusgut für Auserwählte sein dürfen. Vor allem ältere Experimentalfilme sind heute schwer zugänglich, was mit deren komplizierten Verhältnis zu Film und Kunst zu tun hat. Dieser Umstand zieht es nach sich, dass sie kaum bekannt sind, was den dem Experimentalfilm/video anhaftenden Ruf nährt, er sei anspruchsvoll, exklusiv und unverständlich und ziehe vorrangig intellektuelles Publikum an. attaque[e]r le visible möchte diese Vorwürfe entkräften und zeigen, dass dieses Genre einer antikapitalistischen Widerstandskultur entsprungen ist und eine Veränderung beschränkender gesellschaftlichen Strukturen und Normen anstrebt(e). attaque[e]r le visible versucht zudem besonderes Augenmerk auf marginalisierte Positionen zu legen, indem attaque[e]r le visible Arbeiten aus feministischen, queeren und migrantischen Kreisen zeigt und sich bemüht, dem multikulturellen Bild der Szene Rechnung zu tragen.
Hier finden sowohl ältere Experimentalfilme als auch die neuesten Entwicklungen des Genres ihren Platz. attaque[e]r le visible widmet sich Filmen, die die Konsistenz und Illusion des klassischen Films stören, indem sie den Blick bewusst auf die technische Verankerung des Films, seine Inkohärenz und Materialität richten.
Die ausgestellten Arbeiten zeichnen sich durch die Ablehnung stereotyper Bilder und linearer Erzählungen sowie durch ihre kritische Haltung gegenüber der Mitwelt, normativen Sichtbarkeiten, Formen und Körpern aus. Kurz gesagt, es handelt sich um Filme, die dem Selbstverständlichen misstrauen und für die das Wort „normal” nicht existiert.
Zehn Jahre attaque[e]r le visible – das muss gefeiert werden!
Aus diesem Anlass veranstalten wir eine festliche Ausgabe der VIDEOAKTION, unserem jährlichen Anti-Salon für Experimentalfilm und -video. Die dreitägige Veranstaltung umfasst Projektionen, Cinéperformances, Expanded-Cinema-Events und einen Filmworkshop. Im Mittelpunkt stehen das Zusammenkommen, der Austausch von Ideen und natürlich die Diskussion über den aktuellen Stand des Experiments mit bewegten Bildern.

This year, attaque[e]r le visible is celebrating its 10th anniversary! attaque[e]r le visible is a platform for curated projections, book presentations, and talks on experimental film and media art. It started in 2015 at La Mutinerie in Paris—a unique, self-managed, queer space in the heart of an otherwise gentrified city—and we have been active at the Raum für drastische Maßnahmen in Berlin for several years. We believe that cultural events should not be a luxury reserved for the select few. They must be organised and presented in a more egalitarian way. This idea was crucial to the creation of attaque[e]r le visible. Older experimental films in particular are difficult to access today. This is due to their complicated relationship with film and art. Consequently, they are not widely known, which perpetuates the reputation of experimental film/video as demanding, exclusive, and incomprehensible, primarily attracting an intellectual audience. attaque[e]r le visible aims to challenge these perceptions by demonstrating that this genre emerged from an anti-capitalist culture of resistance seeking to transform restrictive social structures and norms. attaque[e]r le visible also seeks to highlight marginalised perspectives by showcasing works from feminist, queer and migrant communities, striving to reflect the plural nature of the scene.
Older experimental films as well as the most recent developments of the genre find a place here.
attaque[e]r le visible is dedicated to films which perturb the consistency and illusionism of the classical film by consciously referring to the technical embeddedness of the film, its incoherence and materiality. The works on display are characterised by a refusal of stereotypical images and linear narration, and by their critical stance towards the co-world, normative visibilities, forms and bodies. In short, it is about films which do not trust the self-evident, and for which the word “normal” does not exist.
Ten years ofattaque[e]r le visible —that has to be celebrated!
To mark the occasion, attaque[e]r le visible is organising a special, festive edition of VIDEOAKTION, our annual anti-salon for experimental film and video. The three-day event will feature contemporary and historical experimental films, video art, cinema performances, expanded cinema events, a book launch, and a film workshop. The focus will be on coming together, exchanging ideas, and, of course, discussing the current state of experimentation with moving images and the possibilities of cinematic or media interventions in the visible.
